Seeing Around Corners®
The award-winning book about how to prepare for tomorrow, by Graham Hogg.
In Seeing Around Corners, Graham Hogg has leveraged his background in military intelligence to lay out a compelling and practical argument as to why organizations in today's complex business environment need to shift from an execution mindset to a discovery mindset.
Linking AI and decision making
AI has become a key driver of competitive advantage for organizations, underpinning new waves of productivity, growth, innovation and customer insights.
As the availability of data increases, it becomes ever more important that decision makers across companies can fully exploit the potential of new technology and capabilities to provide effective insights.
By expertly linking technology, analytics and AI to decision making, the author presents a new paradigm which will forge the way into helping develop products and services that can positively contribute to society.
About the author
Graham began his career as a Royal Marines Commando Officer, specializing in Intelligence. On operations in Afghanistan, the Southern Arabian Gulf and Sierra Leone he led multiple specialist teams that had to adopt new capabilities and apply them to mission success.
During this career, he saw that the best way to help teams respond positively to transformation was to raise awareness and motivation around that change was to simulate their world and give them the opportunity to codify the right tactics and behaviors that lead to mission success.
Since then, he has led transformations across a number of industries and roles, helping businesses commercialize new capabilities and tie it to front-line decision-making.
Graham is donating 100% of his book royalties to UK & US Military charities.
Seeing Around Corners helps you do more than that. With vivid case studies and original insights It skillfully weaves together big data and decision making to create a business culture that will thrive.
Combining experiences from the author’s time in Afghanistan with powerful corporate examples, Seeing Around Corners is a practical guide to changing the way your company thinks about and acts on data and AI. Recommended for anyone looking to build a data-driven culture across their business.
Graham has written an important book about how CEOs and corporate leaders can make the most of AI in an era where we are drowning in data and gasping to use it wisely.
Like many data people, I come from a technical background and approach to data, yet the most consistent message coming out as we drown in data today is how do you sift through the masses and create business value. Seeing Around Corners demonstrates how to do that quickly and consistency day in day out across your business.
Very informative and on the money, dealing with the behaviors and actions required to get a data culture working that will deliver real business benefits, I’m already modifying & tweaking my own behaviors & interactions, excellent stuff.
Seeing Around Corners is a fresh take on what it takes for analytics to fulfil it's promise. It's the best book on analytics I've ever read, because it really sets out how to put analytics at the centre of strategy.
A fantastic read, really getting under the skin of why organisations operate in silos and why asking better questions of our data can help us work across them and drive value.
